Ritual Tattooing is an ancient craft, one that we have lost connection to in our modern world. There is such power, beauty, and magic when your body is marked with intention, care, and a ceremony surrounding it; the experience we create together will run much deeper than the surface of your skin.
For these experiences, we design your Sacred Skin Marking on the day as part of the full experience. You are part of the process from start to finish, and I believe this to be an incredibly potent way of marking your body.

What to expect from your
Ink Alchemy Tattoo Ritual Day
The Altar
I invite you to bring items and/or pictures that are meaningful to create a personal altar for your ceremony, we use both yours and my magical items to create an anchor for our ceremony.
We light candles and may add to the altar throughout our day.
Setting the space is what makes an experience like this immersive and invites in a magical element.
Arrival and Grounding
We begin with a grounding meditation, this helps bring us both into the present moment, attune to one another’s energy, open our ceremony together and invites you to connect deeply with your intention.
Your intention carries the tattoo ceremony, it is the seed of our alchemy. The meaning behind your tattoo is what makes it magical and we will work closely with it throughout the day.
This is also the moment we share a cup of ceremonial cacao, to open our hearts and begin our journey together.
Evolutionary Astrology Reading
Your birthchart is a map of your soul’s karma in this lifetime. I offer astology readings as part of the tattoo ceremonies because it gives us an opportunity to orientate to your soul, to allow it to lead the way in our journey together.
I encourage you to voice record your reading so you can listen back at another time in your life, you will find different things stand out for you. These readings bring clarity and context for your life experiences and often bring more inspiration for your tattoo design.
I find the astrology reading itself can be one of the post potent, healing parts of the tattoo ceremony day
Divination
Consulting the oracle cards begins our design journey, we will already have some threads to follow based on the preparation exercises I send you before our ceremony, the astrology reading and your intuition.
The cards give us some divine guidance and visual inspiration to begin our design journey.
Drawing your Tattoo
This is where my artistic skills come in, gathering all the information and holding your intention at the heart of it all we begin sketching.
This is a collaborative experience, I draw, you let me know what you think, suggest changes, express your own intuitive nudges and we follow the creative process.
Sometimes the design comes through on the first sketch, other times it takes a few edits, but it always comes through eventually, in perfect timing and flow.
Your Tattoo
When the design is finished, we will break for lunch so I can prepare the space for marking your skin.
I create a stencil from the drawing and place it carefully on your body.
When you are happy with the placement and design, we begin the skin marking portion of our ceremony together.
An Opening Blessing
Before I mark your skin I hold my hands over the place you will be tattooed and speak words of blessing, based on all you have shared throughout our day together. You are welcome to share some words of blessing as well.
I send good energy, intention and love into the place you will receive your tattoo so it is infused with loving energy for the rest of your life.

Your tattoo will be handpoked with love and attention by me, Alice. You are welcome to speak or recieve in silence.
I encourage you to choose music that is meaningful to you to set the scene for your tattoo. This day is all about you and the things that make YOU feel good. People have chosen to listen to all sorts during their tattoo including meditation music, David Bowie, childhood favourites, drum journeys and many more.
You will be left with a skin marking that is infused with your intention and a day of nourishment, that celebrates you and your unique expression.

FAQs
What if I don't like the design we create on the day?
Because we begin our day with a deep-dive into your intention and your Evolutionary Astrology, the design is born from your own energy. It isn’t a surprise I’ve prepared in isolation; it’s a co-creation. We don't start tattooing until you feel a 'full body yes' to the symbol. My 10 years of design experience ensures that while the meaning is deep, the aesthetic is timeless and technically sound.
I’ve never had a ritual/ceremony before. Do I need to 'know' how to do this?
Not at all. You don’t need any prior experience with meditation, astrology, or ritual. My role as your facilitator is to lead the way and create a safe, held environment where you can simply be. I provide preparation exercises before our day together so you arrive feeling grounded and ready.
How big will the tattoo be? Is there a limit?
The 'Alchemy Day' is designed for a bespoke symbol that can be completed within our afternoon session. Usually, these are 'palm-sized' to ‘hand-sized’ pieces. If your vision is significantly larger (such as a full back-piece or sleeve), we use this day to initiate the first session of the portal, and we can discuss a multi-day journey.
Is the Astrology reading necessary if I don’t know my birth time?
While a birth time allows for the most precision, we can still work wonders with your birth date and location. The Astrology serves as a mirror—it helps us find the 'cosmic 'why' behind the transition you are marking. It’s a tool for clarity, and it always meets you exactly where you are.

Why is this a 'Flat Fee' rather than an hourly rate?
In a standard tattoo shop, you pay for the 'application of ink.' In an Ink Alchemy Experience, you are investing in a 1-on-1 private retreat. This includes my ten years of technical mastery, five years of ritual facilitation, a professional Astrology reading, bespoke design work, and a dedicated, sacred space where you are the sole focus. It is a 'closed container' designed to ensure you leave feeling nourished, not rushed.
What if I feel emotional or overwhelmed during the ritual?
Tattooing is a somatic experience—it is very common for emotions to move through the body. This space is specifically designed to hold that. Unlike a busy, loud street shop, our environment is private and quiet. We can stop, breathe, and move at your pace. Your tears, your silence, and your breakthroughs are all welcome here.
